Westfield, a community in Harris County, Texas, is situated along Interstate 45 and the Union Pacific Railroad, approximately 19 miles north of downtown Houston. Its history dates back to 1846 when Herman Tautenhahn, a German immigrant, opened a general store near Cypress Station. Over time, the community grew and was officially named Westfield in 1876, in recognition of Gadi F. West, a local landowner who had a field nearby the International–Great Northern Railroad.
