According to the 2020 United States census, Corpus Christi had a population of 316,239 individuals, 117,210 households, and 79,055 families. This represents a significant increase of 10.0% from the 305,215 people recorded at the 2010 Census.

Based on the 2010 census data, the population of Corpus Christi was predominantly White at 80.9%, followed by African Americans at 4.3%, Asians at 1.8%, Pacific Islanders at 0.1%, individuals of other races at 10.4%, and those of two or more races at 2.5%. Around 62.23% of the city’s residents identified as Hispanic or Latino, regardless of race, while 33.3% were non-Hispanic White, a decrease from 56% in 1970. Comparatively, in 2000, the racial composition consisted of 71.62% White, 4.67% African American, 0.64% Native American, 1.28% Asian, 0.08% Pacific Islander, 18.58% from other racial groups, and 3.13% of two or more races. Hispanics of any race made up 54.33% of the population at that time.
